INTENTIONAL LIVING PT. 1

HAPPY MONDAY STAR TROOPERS!

Today I would like to talk to you all about being intentional in all areas of your life. First, I ask what does being intentional mean to you? The definition of intentional means done on purpose; deliberate. For many of us, we do not take time to speak greatness over our days. There is a natural resistance that shows up when anything outside of our norm “adds” to our day-to-day responsibilities. Speaking affirmations when we wake up in the morning, speaking greatness over our day before leaving home, these simple tasks can seem heavy and time-consuming for many of us today. We may view being intentional as another job or responsibility. However, Mondays are the perfect day to focus on being intentional about not only our well-being but our daily comings and goings. Mondays tend to be the most dreadful for a lot of people with traditional routines and schedules.

Astrologically, Mondays are governed by the Moon and the zodiac sign of Cancer. As most of us know the Moon has great power over our energy, emotions, and subconscious. The Moon’s Cancer energy represents feminine energy, the womb, and illuminating what is hidden in plain sight. The Moon also rules the 4th house on the natal chart. The house of the home, family, the kids in your home, the most nurturing parent, and investments. These are only some of the areas the moon touches at any given time for us. The Moon governs over so much of our lives it is important to know where our natal moon and the transiting moon fall. Knowing these placements will help you better navigate your emotions and stress. You may find out that Mondays aren’t what causes emotional conflict.

What better day to speak greatness over yourself? On Mondays, we need that extra nurturing pep talk, an extra source of confidence and reassurance, and extra love for ourselves. Simple tips on how to be more intentional in our lives include the following:

Being intentional with our actions

We need to take the time to pinpoint exactly why we are feeling the way we are feeling. What is the source of our irritations, stress, joy, excitement? Where are we feeling overwhelmed and what practical actions can we take to alleviate that stress? Take a few minutes to check in and see what areas of your life need rearranging. A few minutes out of our day to journal and record our findings will surprise you at what things you have been holding in. you may not truly understand the impact of things you do not view as big deals. Sometimes the simplest thing we can do is remove what is no longer serving us and is not affecting us harmoniously and productively.

Being intentional with our thoughts

Whether you identify this method as meditation or daydreaming, this method is fun and effective. Picturing the day or week you desire to have not only boosts your mood but also helps to reprogram your subconscious. Visualizing your desired outcomes can aid you in relieving stress by picturing and welcoming more optimistic and healthy thought patterns into your life. Changing your thoughts eventually help change your behaviors. When you think differently you behave differently and make room for new experiences in your life.

Being intentional with our words

The saying Attitude of Gratitude, no matter how corny or annoying, truly works. Making a list, short or long, for things you are grateful for helps center your energy and keep your mind present. Affirming what you want is an extremely powerful technique to incorporate into your life. Speaking things into existence works whether you need something small or something big that you feel is unattainable. Simple affirmations that are specific to your daily life can help you assess where you can make room for more joy and freedom from the stress in your life. Leading your weeks with gratitude help with manifesting from an open and grateful heart space. This space aids in attracting more harmony and abundance to you.
